We Rocker Emma Captivates Audiences on Toy Packaging!

One of our We Rockers was recently featured on the packaging and in advertisements for a toy called the Weebles My Smart House, by Playskool!
Emma is a 3-year-old who comes to play at We Rock the Spectrum-Milwaukee frequently! She is a bright, smiling, happy little cutie, and we are so excited about this opportunity for her!
Emma’s mom, Melissa, said a friend who does modeling shared a link for his modeling company. The company was looking for a child 6 months to 4 years old, for a variety of advertisements, so her mom figured they would try it out! They were required to submit headshots, other pictures, and information about Emma. They were soon emailed to come to what was essentially a call back, alongside 4 other children! Here the company got to meet the children, take more pictures, and decide from there! Emma’s family later found out she was featured on the box for this toy, as well as in their advertising, and they were so excited, they quickly ordered the toy. This opportunity has meant a lot to Emma’s family. Melissa says it shows how society is moving away from always stigmatizing people that are different. She loves that she is seeing more individuals with Down Syndrome, like Emma, being integrated into society more and more, and is so happy we are now seeing people with different abilities in a more public light.
Emma and her family are avid We Rockers, and her mother says she loves giving Emma the opportunity to explore her surroundings in a safe environment! We love seeing Emma in the gym, and are so happy for her and her family for getting this opportunity!
